Financial leverage: Financial leverage essentially means using other people’s money to gain rewards.
Time leverage: Time is the scarcest resource, yet we all trade it away every day when we go to work. Time leverage is therefore one of the most important kinds. It means using other people’s time to accomplish your tasks, essentially giving you more hours in the day.
Personal leverage: Personal leverage, or relationship leverage, is vital to every area of your life. When you surround yourself with the right people and use those connections to get things done, you’re using the power of leverage in the best possible way.
It’s a similar idea to ‘you don’t have to reinvent the wheel’. Focus on using something that already exists to further your own cause. This will save you time, stress, and money, depending on the situation that you use it in.
A good example of this is if you want to get your foot in the door of a new, prestigious job firm. You could either try your best to get there on your own or leverage a connection you may have that can put a good word in for you to further your own cause.
A lot of using leverage to your advantage means you have to drop any kind of ego, typically people want to get to their end destination from scratch they want to go from ground 0 to hero all due to their own doing but that means not using leverage and working hard rather than smart, this is plainly inefficient.
