UNLOCKING THE 2.0 YOU

What if you could just flip a switch and upgrade to the ‘2.0 version of yourself'? What if all it took was a few simple mindset switches to see everything from a different perspective and therefore upgrade like a character in a video game?

Well… Unfortunately, it isn’t that easy; however, these three mindset shifts will bring you one step closer.

An unwavering belief in your own success.

You need to believe in yourself and your potential so much that it almost seems delusional, because that’s what being an ambitious person is all about: having such a belief in your own abilities when no one else does and with no real proof to back up your thoughts.

No outside noise or comment should faze you, because if it does and you’re easily tilted by the thoughts of others, then you’re not in control of your decisions; someone else is, and at the end of the day, it needs to be you vs. you.

The accountability shift.

Only when you become accountable for your own actions and where you are in your own life can you be in full control of them.

The problem is that so many people point fingers when something goes wrong, and because of that, where the finger points, the control lies.

If it's someone else's fault you are where you are, then what say to you have in making a change?

You need the ability to slow down and zoom out on your own timeline of progress.

Don’t measure your success or progress day by day; don’t even measure it week by week, because the longer of a timeline you give yourself to determine your success, the higher your chance of success.

Reason being is because that means it's not the case that you haven’t made it but that you haven’t made it yet.

ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:

Allow yourself to be slightly delusional, embrace the delusion, and use it to your advantage. As they say, if your goals don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.

Secondly, take full accountability for everything—the good, the bad, and the ugly—because being accountable means that you’re in control of your next step.

Finally, zoom out on your timeline of progress. Chances are that you’re making a lot more progress than you think, but you’re just measuring it in the wrong way.

LESSON OF THE DAY ⤵️

“I’m am a 15 year old student athlete who has been doing a lot of research into finance/day trading for the past few months but has had difficulty working on it during the high volume trading hours (when I am doing sport or am at school). Now I am interested in going into entrepreneurship and starting a business. However, I am having trouble finding a business idea that “fits”. What should I do?”

First, you need to identify what you mean by ‘fits’. Does this mean what fits within the market or what fits in your lifestyle?

If you want to start a business, all you need to do is look for problems that you can solve.

If you can solve the problem and monetize the solution, then you have yourself a money-generating asset. From there, you can scale in the direction that you choose.
