🌳 Kissing the frog will change your life.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“He who fears death will never do anything worthy of a man who is alive.” Seneca

In simple terms, If you are living with the plan to die you will never live a true life, you will only live a life of fear and worry.

KISS THE FROG

'Kiss the frog' is a term used to illustrate a few different life lessons, the first one being to get rid of or do the difficult thing/the thing you don't want to do first as well as to describe the fact that sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs before you get your prince, sometimes you have to fail a few times before you succeed

Both of these are lessons not to be ignored, kissing the frog should always be a thing you prioritise because it removes the object of procrastination. People tend to procrastinate due to the thought of doing the thing they dread the most.

  • Doing leg day at the gym

  • Doing course work

  • Spending money

And therefore they push this thing back as far as possible to the point where it either doesn't get done at all or it's done to a very poor standard.

The way to get around this is purely to kiss the frog first, do the thing you don't want to do first and get it out of the way.

This eliminates the chance to think about It, dread it and not want to do it.

On the side of 'kissing the frog,' you have the meaning of 'you have to do something a certain amount of times before you get your result'. This is an important one that many people tend to forget,

the fear of failing in the first place puts 80% of people off and the other 19% don't make it because they try, fail and decide it's not for them.

This leaves the 1% that understand failure is a part of the journey. So they try, fail, and try again until it works out.

It's a well-known saying in business:

'9/10 business fail'.

Well if you knew your 10th business was going to succeed would you keep going?

ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:

If you were told that you would succeed after 4 failures

you would be excited to fail.

Just because you're not told it doesn't mean that you can't still be excited to fail. It means you're growing, learning something and you get a fresh perspective to go again.

TAKEAWAYS:

Look to kiss the frog in all parts of life.
