🌳 How To Take Advantage Of Being At Rock Bottom
So many lives would change if people realised that because they hate their lives and current situation, because they have nothing going for them they have nothing to lose and therefore are dangerous.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Welcome events in whichever way they happen: this is the path to peace”
In simple terms, stop trying to control the things that deep down you can’t control. It costs time, energy and self-worth that you will never end up getting back. Allow life to happen as it does
BEING AT ROCK BOTTOM IS A GOOD THING
You’re dangerous
So many lives would change if people realised that because they hate their lives and current situation, because they have nothing going for them they have nothing to lose and therefore are dangerous.
The man that has nothing to lose is always said to be the most dangerous because he doesn’t only have nothing to hold back for but he can give 150% because failure won’t change anything. This may be your current situation. It doesn't mean you have to be at rock bottom but if you haven’t built anything yet, if you don’t have a name for yourself or a creation to stand behind then you should be the most excited because of the unlimited upwards potential.
The best thing about starting something from scratch that could potentially be sh*t is that no one will see it. If you’re thinking about starting a podcast or posting content to social media and you’re worried about what people will think, why would you? Chances are no one will see it and when they do you’ll have developed the skill that you would be proud to show. The pro is that you will fail in the shadows which is much better than failing in the light!
Appreciate your beginnings
“The man who loves the journey will walk much further than the man who loves the destination”. As an entrepreneur, athlete, creator, and Innovator you have to love your beginnings because your beginnings are where you can happily fail hundreds of times over without a scratch on your long-term achievements.
Because if you stay on the path that you’re on, you will get to a point where you feel like you have everything, you’ll have those things that you value whether that be money, fame, family or fortune and once you have those things, that’s when you’ll experience true fear. Because now you have something to lose, now you have a reputation, people counting on you, and quotas to meet which makes your old boss seem like a joke.
If you’re scared to take the jump now, take the risk to achieve what you set out to, just wait for when the time comes when you have everything, that’s a risk, where you are now is an opportunity.
Where do you go from here?
Take the risk! Know that you get the opportunity to either look back on your life as something that you half-arsed full of regret and frustration or you look back knowing you gave it your all. You may fail, you probably will but it’s better to fail trying than not try at all.
Understand your timeline, and understand that It won’t be long before you can’t take as much risk as you want to. You have to act now with relentless passion or don’t act at all. You understand the concept so don’t go making excuses as to why you didn’t achieve x. You know what was at stake and you know your options so execute wisely.
ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:
Assess the risk that you’re reluctant to take and assess the reason why. Understand your timeline and when you have to execute.
TAKEAWAYS:
It’s never going to become less risky to take a chance in yourself.
