The Super Power Of Being Inquisitive

BE MORE INQUISITIVE

330 Words | 1 Min 13 Sec Read

An easy way to accelerate your own journey as a young entrepreneur is by doing one thing: being more Inquisitive.

In the modern day, there's a massive lack of people doing the most simple thing: asking questions, and with a lack of questions being asked, there's a lack of knowledge being spread because, as we all know, if you don’t ask, you don’t get.

That’s why being more curious is such a superpower, because if you ask more questions and become interested in what you don't yet understand, you're bound to learn something new.

So, where does it start?

It starts off with you talking to yourself like a mental person.

No, really, being more curious and inquisitive doesn’t mean you have to go up to random people and bombard them with questions; it means you have to make yourself come up with the solution.

Get into the habit of questioning your own beliefs when you don’t fully understand something, because more often than not, you'll actually know the answer.

It just takes a bit of probing your own brain to think a certain way about it.

The best way to do it is to imagine someone else asking you the question, and you have to come up with the answer.

Embrace being inquisitive.

It’s too easy for us to be interested in something and not question it further because all you have to do is... Nothing, but not questioning it leaves gaps in your knowledge, so go out there and ask questions.

Be the annoying person who keeps asking questions until you know as much as you can, because the people who are willing to give them to you are the kind of people that you want to learn from.

ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:

Become more inquisitive, go out of your way to ask questions, and don’t stop asking questions until you know everything you possibly can.

It also helps to question everything. Question, question, question and don’t stop digging.

LESSON OF THE DAY ⤵️

“Is it necessary to be cold and completely detached from the outer world, in order to achieve our goals?”

- Anonymous

The short answer is no.

The long answer is that this is known as the hustle culture, where people tend to glamorise the idea of going lone wolf, deserting society, and without a care in the world, working towards their goals no matter what it takes.

Not all hustle culture is bad; the discipline and hard work that it requires can’t be looked over, but the deserting society as a whole is just not neccessary.

Undoubtedly, there will be sacrifices you have to make, but it's foolish to make sacrifices without knowing what you’re sacrificing just because someone else has.
