🌳 Self-improvement In 3 Steps
Self-improvement is constantly overcomplicated, from the content online to advice in books and seminars it all comes across as too much to the newbie. But what if there was a 3 step framework that you could use to make self-improvement simple? Not easy, but simple where you can ignore all the noise and jargon and just focus on the step in front of you.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Everybody wants the high.
Nobody wants to push through the low that leads to the high”.
SELF-IMPROVEMENT IN 3 STEPS
Self-improvement is constantly overcomplicated, from the content online to advice in books and seminars it all comes across as too much to the newbie. But what if there was a 3 step framework that you could use to make self-improvement simple? Not easy, but simple where you can ignore all the noise and jargon and just focus on the step in front of you.
Well, there is, here it is;
STEP 1: SELF ASSESSMENT
The first thing you need to do is assess where you are currently in life and in your journey. Here you need to be brutally honest with yourself, you need to get rid of any possible excuses and just assume that where you are is all due to your own doing. Are you proud of yourself? Are you comfortable where you are? Have you achieved the things you wanted to?
STEP 2: DREAM LIFE
Next is to assess where you want to be. What does your dream life look like to you? Where would you want to be in a year that would make you proud? Really be specific with this because the more that you can pinpoint your dream life the better plan you’ll be able to make to get one step closer to it. You can write this down and label all the attributes. What job would you be working? How many hours etc?
STEP 3: FILL IN THE GAPS
Now it’s time to fill in the gaps. You have assessed where you are and where you want to be therefore, the only logical next step is to figure out what’s missing, what attributes does that dream version of you have that you lack? That will be the factor that you need to improve on.
Now this can be super simple or extremely complicated, all you may need to do is change jobs but on the flip side, you may have the challenge of changing your mindset and developing a new perspective on life in order to take that first step towards changing it.
ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:
Start off with step 1, everyone starts off with step one because everyone has room for improvement and everyone’s situation is different.
TAKEAWAYS:
Self-improvement doesn’t have to be overcomplicated. All you need to do is be honest with where you are, be honest with where you want to be and create a roadmap to take you there!
