The art of manifesting is nothing new; it’s the act of thinking something into existence through continuous repetition of that thing.
It’s the idea of waking up every morning and, whilst brusshing your teeth, telling yourself that you will be a millionaire over and over and over again until your actions start to compound and the thing that you keep telling yourself becomes a reality.
Manifesting isn’t something that's just done by mental people; everyone from Connor McGregor to Oprah Winfrey to Arnold Schwarzenegger swears by manifestation as a method that allows them to achieve their wildest dreams.
But negative manifestation is something that you likely haven’t heard of.
Instead of speaking something into existence, you’re actually taking a pessimistic approach and asking yourself why the thing that you’re working towards will go wrong.
For example, if you want to launch your own product, you need to ask yourself, Why will this fail? Why will this crash and burn before my very eyes? What would the reason be?
Asking yourself these questions allows you to identify the reason why it could fail, and once those are uncovered, it gives you a list of things that you need to make sure that you don’t let go or fix sooner rather than later.
It seems like a misserable way to look at your goals, but without taking into account the possible downside and preparing for ways that you can combat those downsides, you’re blindsiding yourself.
Pretending that nothing could go wrong is just naive, and so doing the opposite and figuring out how to eliminate the possibility of that happening is just covering all your corners.
ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:
Try it yourself. Take something that you’re working towards, whether it's a marathon that you want to run or a business that you want to start, and identify the reasons you may fail so that you can start plugging those holes and eliminating the possibility.
This will make you alter your decision-making skills and look at the situation from an unbiased perspective, which ultimately helps you make better decisions.

Look into ‘Parkinsons Law’, a principle that states work will fill the time allocated to be completed. In simple terms, a task will only take as long as you give it.
The reason you may be getting distracted is because you are able to get distracted. If you gave yourself a huge time constraint to get a task done, then you wouldn’t have time to get distracted.
Try to incorporate Parkinson's law into your daily schedule and see how it affects your work and focus.
