There is no shortage of unique types of content as we go into 2024, from long-form to short-form vlogs, challenges, educational videos, day in the lives, memes, and the list goes on.

But one type of content that stands out amongst the rest and has had the biggest growth curve is actually podcasts.

The form of content that requires you to sit down for an hour or more at a time and speak your mind is potentially the most raw form of content that exists, and for that reason alone, it’s done so well.

When you think of podcasts, you probably think of the likes of Joe Rogan, The Diary of a CEO, and Modern Wisdom, as these are the podcasts that have paved the path for all these new creators to make their voices heard.

But why has there been such an increase in podcast creators, and what door does it open for you to sh*t a tonne of money?

The reason that podcasts work is due to their raw authenticity.

You can have a favourite creator that you only see in highly produced videos clearly putting on an act, but with a podcast, they are a much more down-to-earth, humane person, which fosters connection.

Not only that, but podcasts provide a new way for audiences to consume content from creators they love.

At the gym? Put on a podcast.

In the car? Put on a podcast.

At work? Put on a podcast.

The ease of access makes it so attractive and easy to watch or listen to, which, as a result, has made podcasts much more popular over time.

So, what does this mean for you?

You have two options:

Option 1 is to look at starting a podcast yourself, start speaking about topics that you’re interested in, and just click publish. Getting started is as easy as that.

For example, you can look at someone like Danny Maranda, who started making podcasts almost 3 years ago, doing it all online over a Zoom call, and now has an entire studio and speaks to some of the most insightful minds on the planet, including Iman Gadzi, Alex Hormozi, Bryan Johnson, and many more.

Or your option 2 is to take advantage of this influx of podcasts and figure out how you can make money off them as a middleman.

For example, podcasts need sponsors in order to survive, but the majority of them, especially when small, don’t know how to get them.

This leaves a gap for you to learn the skill of acquiring sponsorships from brands and be the middleman in pairing them up with influencers.

This is just a spark of an idea, but you can really take it in whatever direction you want.

All you need to know is that when there is an opportunity, there is always a chance to capitalise on it.

GET STARTED

To get started yourself, choose where you want to play your part.

Do you want to become a podcast creator yourself, or do you want to be the middleman who takes advantage of the growth?
