QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

Being offended is a choice and should be chosen wisely.”

THE MINDSET HACK TO CHANGE YOUR FUTURE

454 Words | 1 Min 45 Sec Read

"If you’re looking at life as a possibility, you will see possibilities everywhere; if you’re looking at life as a problem, you will see problems everywhere."

- Sadhguru

Whenever people want to make a change, they tend to instantly look for problems and look for reasons as to why whatever they have set out to achieve is impossible.

Very rarely do we make a change and instantly look for the potential positive outcomes of the situation because it's within our human nature to risk assess any situation, basically, pointing out the possible negatives in order to best prepare for them.

This means that you need to take a conscious effort to bypass your auto-feeling of "I don’t like this."

If you're a pessimistic person, this will prove hard for you because you're always looking at the negative side of every situation, and therefore you will find it and prove your own theory.

It's similar to the saying, 'If all you're looking for is yellow cars, best believe you will see yellow cars everywhere'.

The solution is beautifully simple: change what you think the result is going to be, and you will change your reality.

We often wait for the perfect time, yet you have to realise there really is no perfect time or place where your life will magically start changing; you have to create that perfect moment.

You can create the timeline and make that change now so that you can look back on it in 5 years' time and say, “I remember the first day I started that”; otherwise, that day will never come.

Your mind is the most powerful thing you have, and you control it.

There's a reason why mindset has been so prevalent mover within history: ancient Japanese culture, wars, great leaders, and scientists all talk about mindset as this super power and praise how impactful it is.

If thats the case, you need to learn how to utilise it properly.

Assume everything is positive, and it will be in reality.

A lot of people severely underestimate the power they have with their own minds.

You may think it's extremely insignificant and will only impact you; however, If thats the case, you couldn't be further from the truth.

ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:

Try it yourself.

The next time you find yourself in a bad situation, focus heavily on the positive outcomes, no matter how insignificant they may be.

Focus on them so much, ignoring the negative outcome, even to the comical point where it seems ridiculous, and you'll be surprised at how suppressed the reality of the bad situation becomes.

Change what you think the result is going to be, and you’ll change what the result is going to be.

LESSON OF THE DAY ⤵️

Remember, if you can't change the situation, you can always change your perspective of the situation.

“How can I master self-discipline?”

- Anonymous

Improving your self-discipline is like growing a muscle; you can’t just go from 0 to 100 at the snap of your finger; you need to progressively overload.

Start off with small challenges for yourself; don't look at your phone for a set amount of time or try something that you don’t want to do.

Over time, gradually increase those challenges and gradually become more strict with yourself, up until the point where you have mastered your self-discipline.

It won’t happen in a day, nor will it happen within weeks. It will take years to accomplish, but it all starts with that first step.
