🌳 Making Money With Money

We have said it before but will say it again, if you work for money, you will be working for the rest of your life. Day in, day out. There is a drastic difference between the wealthy and those living ‘paycheck to paycheck’ and that is that the wealthy have money working for them whereas the rest work for money.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life."

Steve Jobs

In simple terms, the majority of people spend their lives filling someone else’s pocket through the job they work. Time is valuable and limited, wasting it building someone else’s life is a foolish thing to do.

MONEY MINIONS

We have said it before but will say it again, if you work for money, you will be working for the rest of your life. Day in, day out. There is a drastic difference between the wealthy and those living ‘paycheck to paycheck’ and that is that the wealthy have money working for them whereas the rest work for money. But how does someone possibly have money working for them? How does that even make sense?

Believe it or not but you can actually make money with money!

How?

Investing, which is essentially putting your money to work by spending money on something that is projected to give you more money back in return.

This is accessible to everyone, anyone can invest just as the wealthy do but very little know-how so it’s not a skill problem but a knowledge problem (which lucky for you, can be solved!)

The path many of the wealthy take is to first build up their cash pool. This is through working jobs, starting businesses, side hustles, anything! Then with that pool of money their figure out the best way to utilise it and make it work for them. This way they can put in the hard graft for a period of time and then take a much more laid-back approach whilst still being able to live a fulfilling and comfortable life.

Now this is not a newsletter Issue about investing, It’s about why some are able to have money work for them and others are not and it all starts off with your core beliefs. The first one is that the majority of people worship money, they put it on a pedestal and look up to it. They spend the majority of their waking hours working for it, they attach emotion to it and it controls how they feel and how they act. It’s also secretive, how much money you have is almost like a number not to be revealed as if it’s a secret score of some sort. Their whole lives focus point is money, it controls every decision that they make, its what they work towards in hopes that it will make them happy. This is however the completely wrong way to think about money, this way will keep you trapped in a cycle, a chase.

The wealthy think about it slightly differently, they see money as nothing more than a tool, a tool to help them have access to the luxuries in life that they desire. Money is not controlling their every move, nor is it controlling their mood but it’s just an accelerant to what they already are.

Everyone (mostly everyone) starts off at the same point

That being rock bottom, the idea of having money work for you as if you can just sit on your throne reeling it in seems so far-fetched (and to be honest that reality probably is!) but it’s important to remember that everyone starts from somewhere which means that they didn’t read ‘the handbook of getting wealthy’ they probably read ‘the handbook of making your first $ for yourself’ and from there with complied experience grew and kept improving their skills.

Remember that no one is more skilled than you in terms of knowing how to go from A-Z. They probably knew how to go from A-B and then figured out how to go from B-C and so on and so forth.
