Your Life In Weeks
This is your entire life in weeks. That, as well as every other event in your lifetime, is somewhere on that piece of paper among those 4,680 weeks.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“The best way to change long-term behaviour is with short-term feedback.”
YOUR LIFE IN WEEKS
377 Words | 1 Min 27 Sec Read
That right there is your entire life in weeks on an A4 piece of paper.
On there, you will see the following:
Where you were born
Where did you meet your childhood best friend?
Where did you go through your first heartbreak?
where you will turn into an adult
where you will get your first job
where your parents will pass away.
and where you will end up dying.
That, as well as every other event in your lifetime, is somewhere on that piece of paper among those 4,680 weeks.
You can either take it as scary and depressing or be excited at the fact that that is all you have.
You don’t get a second chance, nor can you get more of it, which means you ultimately have one choice: make the most of it that you possibly can.
Because regardless of whether you’re upset about it or not, those boxes are going to continue to be filled in, whether you like it or not.
And you have the complete and utter freedom to fill them in however you like.
Stop waiting; start chasing.
Take it as a sign to stop waiting for things to fall into your lap.
Stop waiting for opportunities to present themselves to you and go out to find them, because, as you’ve already seen, the clock is going to keep ticking either way.
Live in the moment.
This graph also serves as a reminder to live in the moment.
Knowing that you don’t get a second chance is all the reason you need to appreciate and cherish every moment that's spent.
Appreciate the ups, but also appreciate the downs as a reminder of what you already have, knowing that those downs are what make you into a better person.
Remember that no one learns from success, only from failure.
If you want to play around with the life calendar yourself, you can here.
TAKEAWAYS:
Your takeaway is that your life is, at the same time, limited and endless.
Every normal day, it feels endless and is taken for granted, yet when you look at it on an A4 piece of paper, you’ll see it's truly limited.
Don’t take this the wrong way; however, as a man who fears death will never live a life worth living, embrace the limitation and use it to your advantage.
