3 Mindset Shifts To Unlock 2.0 You

The first one is the unwavering belief in your own success. You need to believe in yourself and your potential so much that it almost becomes like a mental illness because that’s what being an ambitious person is all about: having such a belief in your own abilities when no one else does and with no real proof to back up your thoughts. No outside noise or comment should faze you, because if it does and you’re easily tilted by the thoughts of others, then you’re not in control of your decisions; someone else is, and at the end of the day, it should only be you vs. you.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

UNLOCK 2.0 YOU WITH THESE 3 MINDSET SHIFTS

The first one is the unwavering belief in your own success. You need to believe in yourself and your potential so much that it almost becomes like a mental illness because that’s what being an ambitious person is all about: having such a belief in your own abilities when no one else does and with no real proof to back up your thoughts. No outside noise or comment should faze you, because if it does and you’re easily tilted by the thoughts of others, then you’re not in control of your decisions; someone else is, and at the end of the day, it should only be you vs. you.

Secondly, there is something called ‘the accountability shift’. Only when you become accountable for your own actions and where you are in your own life can you be in full control of it. The problem is that so many people point fingers when something goes wrong, and because of that, where the finger points, the control lies. If it's someone else's fault you are where you are, then the best step for you is to give up, right?

There is no lack of information out there, no lack of ideas, no lack of opportunity—in fact, we have more opportunity in this day than ever before in the history of the world combined. The problem is the lack of accountability; you need to be willing to be accountable and understand that it's all out there; you just have to take the first step, because that turns into a snowball effect of progress.

And finally, you need the ability to slow down and zoom out on your own timeline of progress. Don’t measure your success or progress day by day; don’t even measure it week by week, because the longer your measure of time to determine your success is, the higher your chance of success, because that means it's not the case that you haven’t made it but that you haven’t made it yet.

On the other side of the coin, you have the person who measures his success daily. Not only will you expect a quicker result that you won’t get, but you’ll burn out much faster because you’re playing the short game.

ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:

Start taking accountability and working overdrive on developing a belief in your own success; if that's lacking, you will forever have a hole in your bucket.
